Adidas has unveiled the Official Match Ball for the UEFA Champions League Final 2009, which is being held in Athens in the Olympic Stadium on May 23rd. The ball, the Adidas "Finale Athens", features the Adidas +Teamgeist technology which was first seen at the FIFA World Cup 2006, with a 14 curved panel design, creating a perfectly round ball allowing great accuracy and control. The ball is coloured blue and white, following the national colours of the host country, and is based on the well known UEFA Champions League star ball logo.
