Vitinha's 81st-minute goal helped Paris Saint-Germain take the points in Tuesday's Champions League heavyweight battle against Barcelona.
The Ligue 1 side were 4-2 victors after a back-and-forth 90 minutes that featured 20 combined shots on goal. Lucas Hernández put PSG ahead with a 72nd-minute header, but that was answered seven minutes later by Lamine Yamal's equalizer.
The fireworks were not done yet as Vitinha fired home the winner two minutes later and Fabián Ruiz added a fourth in a stunning turn of events at the Parc des Princes.
PSG got the victory, but leaves the game with a worry over Ousmane Dembélé. The reigning Ballon d'Or winner pulled up with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Ferran Torres in the 20th minute.
Premier League sides defend home turf
Phil Foden recorded a hat trick, Elliot Anderson netted his first for his new club and Rayan Cherki continued his good form as Manchester City rolled over AEK Athens 5-1 at the Eithad. The win moves City into a tie for third place in the League Phase table with two wins out of their first three matches.
Liverpool fought back from a 2-0 deficit after 29 minutes to fend off Villarreal 4-3 at Anfield. The Spanish side went up after four minutes following a Virgil van Dijk mistake at the back. But the Reds recovered leveling the match two minutes into first-half stoppage time thanks to Ronald Araújo.
Alexis Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz would score three minutes apart in the second half to give Liverpool the lead for good.
