David Beckham has once again countered the latest rumours surrounding his future of his commitment to Manchester United.
Beckham, who came off the bench as United got their sixth Premiership defeat couple of days ago, is currently in talks concerning a new contract though the reports of interest from abroad.
Beckham is determined to stay with the United and fix the latest problems of the Old Trafford's side.
He said: "I think I've made the last 10 years my commitment to Manchester United, I think I've worked hard for them. I want to carry on playing for Manchester United, that's the team I support and the place where I'm most loved by the fans, and I love them."
Beckham has been rested by Ferguson for the United's last two games, which they lost, but he accepts the manager's decision was justified: "
I think deep down I needed a rest. I'd never admit it to myself or anyone else but deep down I did.
"I am not going to question the manager - it's his decision and I respect it. Of course I want to play every game, but that's not possible."
However Beckham says he's disagree with his manager on one thing, the destiny of the Premiership title. Ferguson sayd that he doesn't think United will win the Championship this year, but the midfielder thinks differently.
"As players we have got to believe that we can still be in with a chance, but we will have to wait and see," ,Beckham said, "I can't put my finger on why it has happened, it is just one of those things. But this team will come together and will stay together as a team." |
