Seoul, March 25 (Yonhap) -- A survey by a sports bookmaking company revealed Monday that less than 40 percent of Koreans think that Guus Hiddink's team will beat Turkey in an upcoming friendly match.
The poll, conducted by Sportstoto, showed that of the 32,883 people who have responded by Monday morning, 39.4 percent or 12,954 people said that Korea would beat Turkey while 26.2 percent said that the two teams would end the game, to be played Tuesday in Bochum, Germany, in a draw.
The remaining 34.4 percent or 11,325 people said that Korea would lose the match against the 25th ranked team in the world led by Parma's striker Hakan Sukur.
Officials for the company said that the figures reflected the realization that Turkey offered a stiffer challenge than Finland, a team beaten 2-0 by Korea last week. A similar poll before that game showed 46.4 percent believed Korea would win.
Netizens will be able to submit their predictions on the outcome of the match 10 minutes before the 2 a.m. Korean time (Wednesday) kick off.
