▶ Incheon City Hall Seeks Citizen Supporters for World Cup

Incheon, March 19 (Yonhap) -- The Incheon metropolitan government will form a group of 'Incheon citizen supporters', who will voluntarily cheer foreign soccer teams during the World Cup matches in Incheon, officials at the regional government said Tuesday.
Each of the five countries -- Costa Rica, Turkey, Portugal, Denmark and France -- will have 500 supporters cheering their side.
The supporters will attend welcoming and farewell ceremonies at Incheon International Airport, distribute noisemakers and other paraphernalia during games and guide tours of athletes and tourists from the five countries.
Any citizen of Incheon can be a supporter via application through the Internet (www.inipia.net) and group applicants, such as a company or organization, can register as a supporting institution by the end of March.
Supporters who bought tickets will be given large national flags and smaller individual flags for cheering the foreign teams, the city said.
